⚡Copper theft isn’t just costly. It’s dangerous and is hitting local clubs hard.

This morning, we met with Councillor Alex Givney from the Wynnum Manly Ward of Brisbane City Council and visited the Wynnum & District Rugby Union Club - Home of the Mighty Bugs. Josh and Arthur shared how recent copper theft disrupted footy, impacted players and left the club facing costly repairs. A local electrician was shocked at the risks on site, with damaged infrastructure posing a serious electrocution hazard.

⚠️ When wiring is stripped from lighting towers and electrical systems, it can leave live cables exposed putting players, volunteers, kids and the wider community at serious risk.
