About 1500 people attended the Boorloo/Perth protest as part of the global day of action for Gaza marking three years of ongoing genocide and Palestinian resistance.

The Boorloo rally was organised by Friends of Palestine WA to demand an end to Australia’s complicity and to place sanctions on Israel.

The crowd heard from various speakers such as Greens MLC Sophie McNeil, Palestinian-Australian Dr Lama Al Ramahi and Helen O’Sullivan, a social worker and Freedom flotilla participant who was arrested for chanting “From the River, to the Sea” which had been banned by the Queensland government.

We call on the Australian Government and Parliament to:
- Pass the Red Lines Package, the four bills introduced on 15 September 2026 by Dr Sophie Scamps MP and Senator David Pocock, which would make sure Australia never arms, funds, invests in or trades with genocide, war crimes or illegal occupation. At the very least, send them to a Senate inquiry.
- Stop all military trade with Israel, exports and imports.
- Impose sanctions on the State of Israel as it continues to violate international law and human rights principles.
- Ban trade with illegal Israeli settlements, following the example of 12 countries, including the UK, France and Canada, which announced restrictions on 8 September 2026.
- Expel the Israeli ambassador.
- Uphold the rulings of the International Court of Justice.
- Repeal anti-protest laws and end the criminalisation of protestors.

Never again, for anyone.
