Palmerston was proud to support Shelter Together Community Bank Albany Homelessness Fundraiser.

Albany’s BIG Sleep Out bringing the community together to raise awareness of homelessness and support people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Our staff and volunteers came together to yarn, participate in panel discussions and help shine a light on homelessness in our community.

A special mention to Anthony and his kids, who took on the challenge of sleeping out overnight.

We’re pleased to share that our After Hours Primary Health Care – Homelessness Access Program has secured ongoing funding, ensuring this vital service can continue supporting people experiencing or at risk of homelessness across Albany, while expanding into Denmark.

This outcome has been made possible through the support of the WA Primary Health Alliance, together with generous contributions from Community Bank Albany and the Stan Perron Foundation.

Delivered in partnership with Pioneer Health, the program provides Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) support, integrated healthcare, outreach, advocacy and practical assistance, helping people access the right services and support they need, when they need it most.

Thank you to our funding partners, our dedicated team, and everyone who continues to work alongside us to create healthier, safer and more connected communities.

This continued investment reflects the power of collaboration and our shared commitment to ensuring no one has to face homelessness alone.

Our Thornlie team, Jaclyn, Jordan and Zoe, recently attended a fantastic Parent Pathways event at Rossiter Pavilion in Piara Waters.

The event encouraged parents to reset, refocus and take positive steps towards their goals, while children (and a few adventurous adults!) enjoyed a magical pirates and princesses adventure.

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with local families, share information about Palmerston’s services, and strengthen community connections.

Congratulations to Casie, Coordinator of our Kedala Mia Dayhab Program, on being nominated for the YACWA’s 2026 Minister for Youth’s Most Outstanding Youth Worker.

With more than 23 years of experience, Casie has dedicated her career to supporting vulnerable young people with compassion, authenticity and a strengths-based approach. She believes in understanding what has happened to a young person—not what's "wrong" with them—and building trusted relationships that foster hope, confidence and belonging.

Since joining Palmerston, she has played a key role in shaping the Kedala Mia Dayhab Program, helping young people and families build hope, confidence and brighter futures.

This nomination is a wonderful recognition of Casie’s passion and dedication, as well as the incredible work of the entire Kedala Mia team.

Congratulations Casie! 👏
