Right now, there are over 5,700 Queensland families loving and caring for a child with a life-limiting condition. Sadly, this means that their child is not expected to reach 18 years of age. We provide specialised paediatric palliative care services to babies, children and young peopl

e with a life-limiting condition, helping them make every moment precious when time is short. Since 2016, we have welcomed hundreds of families from right across Queensland into our warm embrace, providing them with kindness, compassion, and care as they navigate their lives with a child with a life-limiting condition. Hummingbird House is a joint initiative of Hummingbird House Foundation and Wesley Mission Queensland. The life-changing services we offer wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of the Queensland community, who ensure our service is here for every family that needs us, at no cost to them.
