For an event exploring the power of imagination, we couldn't think of a better guest speaker than Fiona McIntosh from U Shape Us.

What started as a simple idea between Fiona and her daughter Molly has grown into a Canberra social enterprise focused on helping children build connection, belonging and community through creativity and imagination.

Join us at Impact After Hours this Thursday as Fiona shares her journey of turning an idea into action, and why imagination isn't just about creativity. It's often the starting point for meaningful social change.

Don't forget to register for Impact After Hours, taking place this Thursday.

Creating change takes more than a good idea. It takes imagination to see what could be, and inspiration to keep going when the path isn't always clear.

This month we'll be exploring both, through a founder conversation with Vanessa Brettell from Stepping Stone | Social Enterprise Cafe and other local social enterprise leaders, sharing the realities of building organisations that make a difference.

At The Mill House Ventures, we love supporting social enterprises and connecting the incredible people behind them.

That's exactly why we created our monthly event, Impact After Hours.

Whether you're a founder, supporter, mentor, partner, researcher or simply curious about the impact sector, we'd love to see you there!

A new monthly gathering to connect with others working in or interested in social impact, share what you're working on and find your people! Free registration.

Earned income, grants, contracts, impact goals. Social enterprises are running more complex finances than most small businesses, which makes understanding financial reports even more important.

That's why The Mill House Ventures will be hosting a free masterclass for women leading social enterprises and purpose-led organisations on May 28th at 12pm.

Led by Nikki Douglass, a CPA who has spent years helping founders to better understand their financial reports, make informed decisions, and feel confident asking the right questions, without needing to become an accountant.

Bring your reports if you have them, bring your questions, and hopefully leave a bit more confident in understanding your financial reporting.

Attendees also have the opportunity to book a free 30-minute 1:1 with Nikki.

This session has been generously funded by Future2, and is limited to 15 people. Please only register if you can commit to attending.
