First… thank you for making Run It Forward possible through your donations, your time, and through spreading the word. Second… we are looking for volunteers on our shoe distribution dates. Your main “job” would be to keep shoes organized while we fit students for their shoes. If you are interested, we can also give you a quick training on helping athletes get the right shoe for them. Either way, it’s a fun time with other volunteers and interacting with the student athletes. After joining Run Wichita in December 2024, Angela kept hearing one question: "What are you training for?" After enough encouragement, she signed up for the Oklahoma City Marathon—and has been training for a race ever since. While the half marathon is her favorite distance, she also loves the challenge and accomplishment of completing a marathon. You'll often find her on the Redbud Trail or leading fun "hot takes" discussions during Saturday long runs, where each mile brings a new conversation and everyone gets a chance to join in. She says the friendships she's built through Run Wichita are what keep her coming back, and no Saturday run is complete without a post-run coffee stop. Her next big goal? The Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon!
