⚽🎉 A Day Our Youth Will Never Forget! 🎉⚽

We are beyond excited and incredibly grateful to announce that California Resources Corporation is sending 15 Boys & Girls Club youth and their families to the 2026 FIFA World Cup™! 🌎🏆 Not only is CRC providing tickets, parking, and funding for food at the match, but they also generously donated funds for the Club to host a World Cup Watch Party so that all of our members can be part of the excitement! 📣⚽💙

A special thank you to Dean Persinger, Vice President of Production at CRC, and his entire team for visiting our Club and personally presenting this amazing opportunity to our youth and families. Your generosity is creating memories that will last a lifetime. 🙌✨

We would also like to thank Senate President Pro Tempore Monique Limón’s District Representative Elijah Ettenger and City Manager Bill Ayub for speaking with our youth and sharing words of encouragement. 💛 We were honored to celebrate alongside supporters from Ventura Chamber of Commerce, County Schools Federal Credit Union, Ventura County Credit Union, our dedicated Board Members, community partners, and members of the press. 🤝📸 The energy in the room was unforgettable as our youth learned they would be attending one of the world's biggest sporting events. 🌟⚽ This truly is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and we cannot wait to hear about their experiences and see the incredible memories they make!

🎓 Congratulations to our Oak View Teen Center 8th Grade Promoting Class! 🎓

This year, 16 amazing Club members took the next big step in their educational journey, with 14 students promoting from Sunset School and 2 from De Anza Academy. We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished and honored to have been part of their journey. The beautiful leis worn during the promotion ceremony were handmade at club. As they prepare to enter high school, we hope they carry with them the leadership, character, confidence, and friendships they have built at the Club. Many have already shared their plans to continue attending Club in high school, and we couldn't be more excited. We encourage these future leaders to continue setting a positive example, getting involved, and inspiring the students who will follow in their footsteps.

Congratulations on this important milestone, we can't wait to see all that you accomplish next! 💙✨

Please join us in celebrating our graduating senior, Dominic! 🎓

Dominic has been a dedicated member of the Oak View Teen Center since 2nd grade. Throughout high school, he represented the Club as our Youth of the Year twice. After graduation, Dominic will attend Ventura College to pursue a career as an EMT, where he hopes to continue helping and serving others. We are also excited that he will remain part of our Club family as a staff member this summer!

We are incredibly proud of Dominic and look forward to seeing all he accomplishes in this next chapter. Congratulations, Dominic!

A huge THANK YOU to the Ventura County Sheriff's Office for awarding our Club a $17,500 grant! 💙 This funding will support youth prevention and intervention programs, drug abuse education, gang diversion efforts, and community outreach that directly benefits the youth we serve every day. Officers Senior Deputy Marco Hinahon, Commander Trina Newman , and Sergeant Ryan Deblauw visited our E.J. Harrison Center to present the check in person. And of course… no Club visit is complete without a little friendly competition! 😄🏐 The officers jumped right into a game of dodgeball with our members, and let’s just say they were doing their best to serve and protect themselves from getting eliminated! 😂 The kids had an absolute blast.

Thank you again to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office for your generosity, partnership, and for taking the time to connect with our youth in such a fun and meaningful way. Community support like this truly makes a lasting impact! 💙

This year, Caleb was recognized as one of our Youth of the Quarter recipients an honor that reflects the positive example he sets for those around him. After graduation, Caleb plans to attend Ventura College before transferring to CSUCI to pursue a degree in mechatronics. 🤖 We are incredibly proud of all he has accomplished and cannot wait to see all that he achieves in the future.

Last week we had the privilege of welcoming long time supporter Draza to our Club! He spent time with teens from all of our sites sharing valuable insights about financial planning, discovering your passions, and exploring career and educational paths.

Draza encouraged our teens to find work they truly love, reminding them that when you’re passionate about what you do, it never feels like you’ve worked a day in your life. The teens were captivated by his stories and appreciated the time he took to thoughtfully answer all of their questions.
