Ventura County is changing, and those demographic shifts have real implications for our future.

At this year’s Future of the Region Conference, keynote speaker Dr. Fernando Torres-Gil highlighted the quality and objectivity of the State of the Region Report and encouraged the Civic Alliance to continue expanding its reach.

His keynote explored changing demographics, specifically the drastic increase in our aging population and decrease in our younger population. He emphasized that the choices we make today, as leaders, to either address or ignore these changes will determine our outcome.

Thank you, Dr. Torres-Gil, for helping us continue this important conversation.
