Los Robles Children's Choir Through the creative beauty of choral music, we strive to inspire and ignite a passion for the art-of-sound in young hearts and minds.

In an ever-changing world, the pull towards screens becomes harder and harder to counteract.

With the rise of technological advancements there is a greater need to remember who we are, what we value, and what we want to the world look like.

What humans have always needed, and will always need, is community and connection—both to each other and to the self—and with it, a sense of belonging.

Science proves that our emotional regulation and development is at stake, but in all honesty, do we need science to show us what we witness in real life?

It’s time to step in, to stand up, and claim the future we want to see. Our children won’t know a world without screens, but we can show them what it’s like to use technology as a tool without relying on it for happiness, purpose, and true belonging.

Choir is that place: where we come together, feel the power of connection, of creation, of community. There has never been a more important time to raise your voice in song!

Some of the most important things children learn can’t be measured on a test.

They develop in the moments when a child has to pay attention to someone else, adjust to the people around them, work through a challenge, or keep going when something feels difficult.

In choir, these moments are constant.

Children discover the power of perseverance and collaboration: bringing different strengths, sounds, and perspectives together to create something meaningful and bigger than themselves.

Rhythm & Solfège Challenge:
First we started with just the rhythmic pattern by itself (as we kept the steady beat with our feet):
1….+1….4+1…+4+1…3+4+1..+3+4+1..2+3+4+1+2+3+4+1

This took a few tries to get it solid, THEN we added notes:
do…do re… do re mi… do re mi fa… etc until we get all the way to high do.

Try it! We can’t be the only ones who think this is super fun, right?! 😆
