VCAS Rescue Readers

VCAS Rescue Readers Rescue Readers is a group led at VCAS to encourage young people to practice empathy, improve reading skills, and help shelter pets!

Here's the new monthly schedule effective September 2022:
1st Sunday of the Month - Reading to Dogs and Bunnies
2nd Sunday of the Month - Reading to Dogs
3rd Sunday of the Month - Reading to Dogs and Cats
4th Sunday of the Month - Reading to Dogs
Of course everything is Weather Permitting. We ask that you arrive at VCAS Camarillo in the Information Center between 9:30 and 9:45 a.m

. We begin reading at 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. This program is for children 4 - 14. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. PLEASE ALWAYS WEAR CLOSED TOED SHOES!! Feel free to bring your own stool to sit on but we also have carpet squares. The children may bring their own books but we share the Rescue Readers Books as well. Feel free to also bring Headphones for your children. QUESTIONS/COMMENTS - PLEASE SEND A MESSAGE

Hi Everyone - This will be my final post to all of your Rescue Readers. From now on Abby and Kathleen will be your leads in Camarillo and Susan in Simi. They will be telling you about a new great way to sign up which shows up under Rescue Readers on the VCAS.us website. It has truly been one of my greatest experiences in my life meeting all of you and I want to thank-you so much in making this program so great. With Love, Judi
