We are passionate about providing the gift of music, and we do so in many ways. Our Foundation proudly supports music makers and music education in underserved communities worldwide. We also support youth, health and wellness organizations, and the military. Our parent company Drum Workshop Inc. (DW Drums) helps us accomplish our mission by fueling our ability to donate drums and accessories, music education resources, and to support programs and events that make a positive impact through music. Greetings DW Music Foundation family, we have a meaningful update to share.

After more than five years of inspiring connections between music and philanthropy, the DW Music Foundation will be taking a pause beginning January 1, 2026, to thoughtfully evaluate our future philanthropic direction.

We’re proud of the meaningful programs and partnerships we’ve built—supporting music education, empowering artists, and helping underserved communities in need. As we look to the future, this pause will allow us to reflect on our impact and explore how we can best continue using the power of music to make a difference.

We extend heartfelt thanks to our donors, artists, nonprofit partners, and friends for their continued belief in our mission.

We are proud to support the Chad Smith Foundation and their mission of raising awareness and funds for music education.

Chad will be rocking this custom Minnesota-themed drum kit, designed by Drum Workshop Inc. (DW Drums) as he performs with the University of Minnesota Marching Band at the Homecoming Football Game this Saturday to celebrate the launch of our new CSF Scholarship.

Chad will perform some of RHCP’s greatest hits in front of a packed stadium! After the show, Chad’s custom kit and outfit will be auctioned off online, with all proceeds supporting the scholarship.

🎉 With heartfelt thanks to Tim Sullivan—winner of our DW Drums Factory Tour and an autographed snare drum signed by Don and Chris Lombardi, Founder and President of DW!

Tim and his wife enjoyed an unforgettable behind-the-scenes tour of DW’s legendary facilities, complete with a special viewing of the great Neil Peart's iconic drum kit.

A big shoutout to Brent Wetli for leading the tour, and to Don and Chris Lombardi for making the day extra special—a great time was had by all!

This private, one-hour experience takes place at the iconic Drum Channel studio inside DW Drums headquarters in Oxnard, CA. Choose between an engaging storytelling meet-and-greet or a hands-on drum lesson.

Joining the fun is Don Lombardi, visionary founder of DW Drums and Drum Channel, making this an unforgettable opportunity for music lovers and aspiring drummers alike.
