Greetings DW Music Foundation family, we have a meaningful update to share.

After more than five years of inspiring connections between music and philanthropy, the DW Music Foundation will be taking a temporary pause beginning January 1, 2026, to thoughtfully evaluate our next chapter and philanthropic direction.

We’re proud of the meaningful programs and partnerships we’ve built—supporting music education, empowering artists, and helping underserved communities in need. As we look to the future, this pause will allow us to reflect on our impact and explore how we can best continue using the power of music to make a difference.

We extend heartfelt thanks to our donors, artists, nonprofit partners, and friends for their continued belief in our mission. Your support has made everything possible, and we look forward to sharing updates in the summer of 2026 when our next steps are defined.

We are proud to support the Chad Smith Foundation and their mission of raising awareness and funds for music education.

Chad will be rocking this custom Minnesota-themed drum kit, designed by Drum Workshop Inc. (DW Drums) as he performs with the University of Minnesota Marching Band at the Homecoming Football Game this Saturday to celebrate the launch of our new CSF Scholarship.

Chad will perform some of RHCP’s greatest hits in front of a packed stadium! After the show, Chad’s custom kit and outfit will be auctioned off online, with all proceeds supporting the scholarship.

Tim and his wife enjoyed an unforgettable behind-the-scenes tour of DW’s legendary facilities, complete with a special viewing of the great Neil Peart's iconic drum kit.

A big shoutout to Brent Wetli for leading the tour, and to Don and Chris Lombardi for making the day extra special—a great time was had by all!

Happy Spring Season Friends!

We’re celebrating an inspiring first quarter, supporting a variety of impactful nonprofits making a difference in their communities.

This quarter, we donated a drum kit for the music room at the Boys & Girls Clubs of America greater Phoenix Chapter and Boys & Girls Club of Greater Ventura CA, and provided a Music Matters Grant to enhance their music programs.

We proudly supported drummer Danny Seraphine, and his involvement with Arizona's Children's Charities signature event, "Rockin the Runway" by donating a DW Snare Drum for their annual concert and auction.

Additionally, with LA fire relief efforts in full force, we made donations to MusiCares to aid musicians directly affected and to the Altadena Fire Relief Fund.

🥁 The Beat of Giving! 🥁

Our incredible DW Music Foundation board member, Alan Arnold, recently visited the Boys & Girls Clubs of Apache Junction to set up a brand-new drum kit sponsored by Alan and donated by our Foundation. His generosity and hands-on effort ensure that the kids in the club’s music program will have an amazing experience with their shiny new instrument!

Boys & Girls Clubs program director Angela Davis couldn’t be more grateful—and neither could we! Thank you, Alan, for making a real impact and helping to inspire the next generation of musicians!
