Rainbow Connection Family Resource and Empowerment Center is a place for persons with special needs and their family members to find support, information, and training. Rainbow Connection is staffed by parents of children and adults with special needs. We understand the daily challenges of parenting a child or adult with special needs. Whether you are just starting your journey with a baby in the hospital or you are a family member looking at aging issues for someone with special needs, we are here to help you. We are great listeners and can assist families with problem solving. Rainbow Connection staff draw from their own experiences and are dedicated to building sensitivity, knowledge, and understanding between individuals, families, professionals, and the community. Rainbow Connection values and supports every community member. Support groups for families with children/adults with special needs

A large lending library of books, videos, audiotapes, computer programs, games, and toys is available at the Tri-Counties Regional Center office in Oxnard. A satellite library is available in the Simi Valley and Fillmore Tri-Counties Regional Center office. Internet access is available at both sites. It is open to the public.
