▶️ Each year, approximately 16,000 people are released from Tulsa County jail.
▶️ Nearly 40% are rearrested within that same year.
Release is not the end of system involvement. For many, it marks the start of navigating court requirements, fines, and court obligations often without consistent access to housing, transportation, or communication tools.
These gaps are not minor. They directly impact an individual’s ability to meet legal obligations and avoid further criminal legal system involvement.
This is where reentry support and system navigation become critical. What happens after release is one of the most important, and most overlooked, factors in reducing recidivism and improving community outcomes.
Justice-informed solutions start by addressing this moment.
At JusticeLink, we're working to break the cycle by providing a one-stop hub for support for those navigating the criminal legal system.
