REDUCE is the 1st R in Reduce, Reuse, Recycle but it is often overlooked. Recycling better starts with reducing the amount of materials we are consuming.

Easy examples of reducing include skipping the plastic bag when getting fresh veggies, bringing your own bags when grocery shopping, not falling for fast fashion, and saying no to plastic straws.

How do you practice reducing? Let us know in the comments! ๐Ÿ˜โ™ป๐ŸŒŽ๐Ÿ’š

Hello Summertime ๐Ÿ˜Žโ›ฑ๏ธ

Summertime means spending all day outside playing in the water and eating way too many popsicles. You can enjoy all the fun in the sun and recycle better at the same time by not including these items in your recycling bins:

-Plastic beach toys
-Pool toys
-Pool noodles
-Kidโ€™s pools
-Blow up floaties
-Beach balls
-Life jackets

Recycling better means being mindful of what we are recycling. Stick to your local recycling centers guidelines before placing items in your bins. ๐Ÿ˜†โ™ป๏ธโ˜€๏ธ
