YWCA Tulsa proudly stands alongside the ACLU of Oklahoma and fellow advocates in signing a letter to the Department of Homeland Security demanding accountability for deeply troubling conditions reported at the Diamondback Correctional Facility in Watonga, Oklahoma.
Reports of medical neglect, inadequate food and clean drinking water, prolonged isolation and barriers to legal representation raise serious concerns about the health, safety and constitutional rights of people being held at this immigration detention center.
No one should be denied necessary medical care. No one should go hungry. No one should be deprived of their right to legal counsel.
These are not privileges. They are fundamental human rights.
