WHAT ARE WE EVEN DOING AS HUMAN BEINGS ANYMORE?! 💔

Seriously‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

Thursday, a young man in Dallas was in so much pain that he jumped from a bridge. TO ESCAPE THIS WORLD!! And people were making jokes…JOKES!!! Complaining about TRAFFIC! Angry that someone else’s darkest moment inconvenienced their day.

WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO OUR HUMANITY?!

I am genuinely ALARMED by how cold we have become toward people who are suffering. 🚨

That was somebody’s BABY. Somebody’s whole world. A human being in unimaginable pain.

He wasn’t trying to ruin YOUR day. He was struggling to survive his own.

WHEN DID OUR CONVENIENCE BECOME MORE IMPORTANT THAN SOMEONE ELSE’S LIFE?!

We scream about mental health awareness, kindness, and compassion, but where the hell is any of it when someone needs it most?!

You have NO IDEA what another person is carrying. How hard they’re fighting just to stay here.

I seriously pray you never have to understand the pain of watching someone you love fight for their life!!!! Or BE the person trapped in a mental prison!!!!!!!!

We are losing our humanity, and THAT should terrify…

Every.

Single.

ONE OF US.

For the love of God, CAN WE PLEASE START CARING ABOUT EACH OTHER AGAIN?!

That wasn’t a traffic delay.

THAT WAS A HUMAN LIFE. 💔

💜 Hear us!!! You do not have to be at your breaking point to deserve support.

You do not have to prove your pain, explain your struggles, or convince anyone that your life is hard enough to need help.

You are worthy of love on your best days, your worst days, and every day in between.

And if all you managed to do today was stay alive, please know this:

That is not nothing. That is everything.

You matter. Not because of what you do for this world, but simply because you are here.

‼️Some of the people struggling the most with depression are the ones you would never suspect.‼️

They get up. They get dressed. They go to work. They show up for their families. They laugh, smile, and carry on with life while silently fighting battles nobody knows about.

Depression doesn’t always look the way we expect it to.

Sometimes it looks like:

💜 The person who checks on everyone else but never asks for help.

💜 The friend who always says, “I’m fine,” even when they’re anything but fine.

💜 The one who stays constantly busy because slowing down means facing what they’re feeling.

💜 The person who gives everyone else encouragement while struggling to find hope for themselves.

💜 The one who holds it together all day, only to fall apart when nobody is watching.

💜 The person who apologizes for being “too much” when they’ve actually been carrying far too much, for far too long.

💜 The one who seems to have it all together but feels completely alone.

Being productive doesn’t mean someone is mentally healthy. Smiling doesn’t mean someone is happy. And being strong doesn’t mean someone isn’t struggling.

We often hear the phrase, “Check on your strong friends.”

But please, don’t just share those words. PUT THEM INTO ACTION!

Make the phone call. Send the text. Ask how someone is REALLY doing. And when they answer, make sure they know it’s safe to tell you the truth.

Because sometimes the people who seem to need the least support are the ones quietly wishing someone would notice.

You never truly know what someone is carrying.

Be kind. Be present. Be someone others feel safe being honest with.

You don’t have to be falling apart on the outside to deserve support on the inside.

💜 It’s time we stop saying “committed su***de.”

Not to shame anyone for using a phrase they’ve heard their entire life. But because WORDS MATTER.

For generations, su***de was viewed as a crime, a sin, or a moral failure. And unfortunately, our language still carries some of that judgment.🥺

We say someone committed a crime. Committed an offense.

But someone who died by su***de didn’t commit a crime. They lost their life.

And their life was SO much more than how it ended.

They were loved. They had dreams. They laughed. They struggled. They mattered.

Changing our words won’t bring them back. But it CAN help break down the shame and stigma that have surrounded su***de for far too long.

At Team of Mercy, we’re not asking for perfection. We’re asking for compassion, awareness, and a willingness to do better.

So instead of saying “committed su***de,” let’s start saying “died by su***de.”

It’s a small change that carries a powerful message.

💜 A person’s life should never be defined by how it ended. And every life deserves dignity, not judgment.

Last night, we lit candles for the ones we wish were still here. 🕯️

For a little while, we sat together in the light…remembering their names, their lives, their laughter, and the love that death could NEVER take from us.

Some people leave this earth far too soon.

But they never leave our hearts. 💜
