You asked. We listened. You wanted a south location for single stream recycling. We are proud to announce today that our newest location is now open for single stream recycling. At the south Vigo County highway garage located at 10970 S Sullivan Place in the Industrial Park, we will be accepting single stream recycling from 8am-4pm Monday thru Friday. Closed on government holidays. Glass will not be accepted at the time at this location. Around the beginning of June glass will be accepted.

There are now a total of four single stream recycling locations

1329 Deming Street Terre Haute, IN 47802 (enter off 14th street between Crawford and Deming)

500 West National Ave in West Terre Haute, IN 47885 (behind the police station)

As an ongoing partner to help with illegal dumping, Vigo County Solid Waste Management will start collecting old mattresses and living room furniture starting Feb 5, 2024. There will be a limit of 2 mattress/box spring combination per visit and a limit of one couch/love seat recliner per visit. The collection days for these are every Mon, Tue, Wed, and from 9am-3:30pm the first Saturday of the month from 10am-2pm. This service is for Vigo County residents only. Please check in at the Vigo County Solid Waste office when entering facility. Vigo County Solid Waste reserves the right to refuse any and all items.
