On behalf of Thrive West Central, we are proud to celebrate the completion of the Bricks & Gables Eastside Project, a key addition to the Homes for the Future Program.

Developed by J. Troy Stanton and Bricks & Gables, Inc., this project brings 10 new single-family homes to our community, including six homes in Terre Vista and four homes in Eastland Estates. These thoughtfully designed homes feature high-quality finishes, wheelchair-accessible doorways, ADA bathtubs, and are conveniently located near parks, trails, schools, and recreational amenities.

This project was made possible through city and county ARPA funding and reflects the commitment of Mayor Brandon Sakbun, the Vigo County Commissioners, and city and county council members to expanding housing opportunities and strengthening our community.

Attendees heard remarks from Thrive West Central, Mayor Brandon Sakbun, Vigo County Commissioners, and developer J. Troy Stanton about the impact of this investment on housing, infrastructure, and future growth in Terre Haute.

Our CEO, Ryan Keller, had the honor of welcoming Indiana Governor Mike Braun to the 43rd Annual Indiana MPO & Indiana Association of Regional Councils (IARC) Conference today in the City of Kokomo’s historic and beautiful downtown area. Governor Braun presented several communities in the local area with Community Crossing Grant awards and shared some of his insights on community development. Ryan is finishing up a two-year term as IARC President and will hand over the reins of IARC to Mary McCarty, Executive Director of the Southern Indiana Regional Planning Commission (SIPRC).

This year’s conference theme, “Creating Livable Communities,” highlights how innovative transportation planning, green infrastructure, and thoughtful community design make regions healthier, more accessible, and economically vibrant.
