– Illiana Vision Connection and the Mayor of Terre Haute IN invite the Terre Haute community to join in the celebration of National White Cane Safety Day on Thursday , October 15, 2026 at 1:30 P.m. The event will take place on the southwest corner of 7th and Wabash Avenue in downtown Terre Haute.

National White Cane Safety Day is a time to recognize the independence, achievements, and contributions of individuals who are blind or visually impaired. The white cane stands as a symbol of mobility and self-reliance, and these gathering aims to highlight awareness, encourage accessibility, and celebrate inclusivity throughout the community.

Hello Community Partners!

We would love to invite you to participate as a community partner in Munchkin Early Learning Center’s “Fall into Munchkinland” family event!

Munchkin is a Paths to QUALITY Level 4 child care provider and recently opened an additional location serving infants. To celebrate this expansion, they are hosting a family-friendly evening open to both currently enrolled families and the public. We would be delighted to have the library host a table or tent and connect with families in our community. We are expected to have over 50 families participate with several children.

Setup: 6:00 p.m.
Event: 6:30–8:00 p.m.
Location: 2405 Poplar Street
