Meet Bee 🐝 - one of the incredible counselors caring for our campers this summer!

By day, Bee teaches special education math to 7th graders. Each summer, she's one of our most beloved camp counselors: the kind who shows up ready to make sure every child feels totally seen and welcomed into the mix.

Here's what she told us about why she keeps coming back:
"No environment I've ever been in accommodates for physical and mental needs as much as Camp Casco. Every experience I have with the organization heals my inner child a bit more."

Counselors like Bee are what make Camp Casco so special - people who don't just tolerate the chaos, but genuinely love being part of it.

Bee sure to say hello if you see her around this summer!

💛 Meet Mack and Finn.

"I have seen such great connections and growth with each of my boys because of the care the counselors give to the kids at Camp Casco."

Two brothers. One diagnosis between them that changed everything for their whole family. At Camp Casco, Mack and Finn found something that belonged to both of them: confidence, friendships, counselors who genuinely saw them. After his first day of camp, Finn came home with a huge smile. "Best day," he said. Each day after, just kept getting better. (Mack's top review: the food is the best. We appreciate the high praise, Mack!!)

This summer, René is taking on the Presidential Traverse for both of them. One hike. Two kids. A whole family that deserves this community.

Help us cheer René on! Visit https://buff.ly/GWcfYbT to support his hike for kids with cancer.

Sending your child to camp for the first time can come with a lot of questions, and that's completely normal.

Sometimes the most helpful answers come from another parent who's been in your shoes.

If you'd like to chat with a current Camp Casco parent about what camp is really like, what to expect, or anything that's on your mind, we'd be happy to make an introduction.

Whether you're ready to register or simply exploring if Camp Casco might be a good fit for your family, we're here to help you feel informed and comfortable every step of the way.

💛 Meet Victoria.

"Camp Casco has given Victoria the gift of friendships. She has met so many genuine friends from attending camp."

Genuine friends. Not just any friends, but the special kind that come from a week of shared experience and mutual understanding. Victoria has found those at Camp Casco, year after year. And she keeps coming back, for the activities, for the fun, but mostly, for the people.

This summer, Mariana-Mor is hiking Mount Washington for Victoria, and for the gift of genuine friendships at the place that makes them possible.

Yesterday, our Golf Marathon team did something extraordinary: they golfed 100 holes in a single day, and together, they raised nearly $13,000 for Camp Casco. ⛳

That means more summers at camp, more families supported, and more kids who get to just be kids - even in the middle of the hardest thing their family has ever faced.

Thank you Ryan Starr & Brian Hess for going above and beyond to support our programs for kids fighting cancer, and to Golf Fights Cancer for the opportunity to be part of another amazing event. We are so grateful!

It rained all day. And then... the clouds parted. 🌥️

Last weekend, we spent a beautiful evening at our Family Campfire chasing farm animals, playing gaga, painting nails and faces, throwing axes, singing around the fire, and making s'mores.

Seeing our camp family was the best. Camp season, we're ready for you. 💛

June is Cancer Survivor’s Month and we’re spotlighting The Parmenter Foundation’s grantee Camp Casco. This camp program supports children coping with watching a sibling grapple with cancer or with the grief of losing a sibling to cancer.

Certainly a summer camp like no other, Camp Casco provides transformative programming for every member of the family.

💛 Meet Aiden.

"These experiences help him build resilience, empathy, and independence. We hope more families will be supported and inspired by the spirit of love and courage that these camps embody."

These qualities take years to develop, and camp somehow accelerates their growth in ways that are hard to explain until you've watched it happen. Aiden has been shaped by Camp Casco, through camp and its community, and his family is hoping that more kids can grow just like he has.

This summer, Scotty is hiking Mount Washington for Aiden, and for all the pediatric oncology families who could use a little camp magic, too. Help Scotty spread the magic: https://buff.ly/qZU6jJP

For one special week each summer, our One Mission Day Camp gives children affected by childhood cancer a chance to leave the hospital visits, treatments, and worries behind and just be kids.

Through games, laughter, friendships, and unforgettable memories, campers discover a community where they are understood, celebrated, and never alone.

Patients, survivors, and siblings ages 6-12 are eligible to attend for free, thanks to the generous support of our partners at One Mission.

Only a few spaces remain for this summer: learn more and share with an eligible family today! Visit https://buff.ly/QxMP6VI

There's something special that happens when a child finally feels like they're with their people.

For Nora, that place is Camp Casco. Over the years, she's built friendships, found her footing as a leader, and - maybe most importantly - learned to advocate for herself. She describes it simply: "I'm with my people."

In our newest blog post, Nora shares how years of camp shaped her confidence, her leadership, and her ability to speak up for her own needs. Check it out here: https://buff.ly/SiRNxce.
