A year later, Berkeley's soda tax has generated over $1.5 million for community nutrition and health efforts! Concerned about skyrocketing diabetes rates among children, many cities, states, and entire countries are now considering soda tax measures.

Every year one third of the world's food goes to waste and 40 percent of the food in the US is thrown out.
