About the Founder:

My name is Abigael Brown and I'm an Art Education senior at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. I grew up in Boston and currently work as a teacher in Brookline, a community I don't see myself leaving any time soon.

I created this project to better understand my community and help a specific population of people during a global pandemic. I was inspired by my family's long history of small business owners and wanted to be able to share the stories of those who are trying to run thriving businesses through the many challenges of COVID-19.

I encourage you to seek out these businesses and support them in any way you can. Follow along to hear about more ways you can support your local community. Shop local and stay safe!

Thank you for visiting the Dear Brookline Project page. This project was created to highlight the stories of small businesses surviving the COVID-19 Pandemic. Every participant completes an interview and then images of their business are taken to be turned into a postcard specifically designed for them. Eager to share their story, the owners tell me of their hardships, adaptations, fears and victories. However the most special answers end up being what they are most thankful for at this moment in time. I hope you follow along with us and consider paying these businesses a visit some time. -Abigael
