Brookline For the Culture is reaching out to our community with a simple request: let’s show up for the nurses currently on strike at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Nurses are an essential part of our healthcare system, and when they advocate for safer staffing and better working conditions, they’re also advocating for the quality of care that every patient deserves. Their work impacts all of us, and we want to make sure they feel the support of the communities they serve.

We’re collecting donations of bottled water, sports drinks, individually wrapped snacks, fruit, granola bars, coffee, and other easy grab-and-go items to deliver to the nurses on the picket line.

If you’d like to contribute, please send us a DM or email us so we can coordinate a pickup or drop-off. Every donation, big or small, is appreciated and will help remind these healthcare workers that their community stands with them.

Thank you for helping us care for the people who spend every day caring for others. ❤️

✨ New Look. Same Mission. More Culture. ✨

We are so excited to officially share the new look of Brookline for the Culture! đź’ś

Our logo tells the story of who we are and the community we’re working to build. The silhouette represents the beauty, creativity, resilience, and leadership of our Black community. The flowing music staff and notes celebrate the power of music, storytelling, and culture to bring people together. The rainbow reflects our commitment to creating spaces where our LGBTQ+ community feels welcomed, celebrated, and safe. And the Brookline skyline reminds us that everything we do is rooted right here in the town we proudly call home.

As we reflect on this summer, we simply want to say thank you. From everyone who joined us at our Juneteenth Carnival and our Pride in the Park celebration, to our volunteers, performers, vendors, sponsors, and community partners your support made these events truly unforgettable. Seeing our community come together in celebration, joy, and belonging is exactly why Brookline for the Culture exists.

But we’re just getting started. 👀

Over the next few weeks, we’ll begin rolling out an exciting lineup of new events, programs, and opportunities to connect. We can’t wait to share what’s in store, and we hope you’ll continue this journey with us.

As always, this organization belongs to the community. If you’ve attended one of our events and have feedback or if there’s a cultural celebration, workshop, or community event you’d love to see on our calendar we’d love to hear from you! Feel free to send us a DM or reach out by email anytime.

Here’s to continuing to build a more connected, welcoming, and vibrant Brookline, together. 💜🌍
