Construction is underway on the western trailhead of the Hodiamont Greenway at 900 Hodiamont Avenue!

Cornerstone Community Development Corporation is partnering with Great Rivers Greenway on Gwen Giles Park, which will include a paved trail along the old streetcar route, an expanded paved loop path around the park, a new trailhead, and amenities shaped by community feedback. The park is expected to open in spring 2027.

Another step toward connecting the West End and Visitation Park to a growing greenway network.

All R&B Restaurant & Love is coming to 4101 Laclede Ave. in the Central West End!

From the team at All R&B Restaurant & Love, the R&B-inspired restaurant and lounge will serve sharable plates and signature cocktails, with a live DJ ensemble playing alongside soft R&B. The space seats about 80 and includes a private dining room available by reservation.

Another addition to the CWE’s growing dining scene.

A new hub for the future of manufacturing is taking shape in North St. Louis. AMICSTL is building a 52,000-square-foot, $35 million Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Center, a facility designed to connect manufacturers, colleges, and community organizations and open up high-skill, high-wage careers to more St. Louisans.

The center is expected to open in early 2027.

Redevelopment is reshaping Fountain Park, Lewis Place, and Vandeventer.

The next chapter at Delmar Divine is coming into focus. At 5501 Delmar Blvd., the former St. Luke’s Hospital campus, already home to 150 apartments and more than 40 nonprofit, academic, and public-sector organizations, is preparing for a roughly $50 million second phase.

Phase 2 will add 81 workforce apartments with affordable rents, plus more space for nonprofits and an 8,000-square-foot community space. Renovation is expected to begin in early 2027.

Big things are underway at the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis. At their 1408 N. Kingshighway Blvd headquarters in Fountain Park, the Urban League has broken ground on a new cultural center, a $3.3 million first phase turning ground-floor space once home to a DMV, electronics store, and hair salon into a multipurpose event space for art exhibits, lectures, receptions, and community forums.

President and CEO Michael P. McMillan calls it a future “crown jewel” for the organization. A second phase, estimated at $4 million, will resemble a traditional museum space highlighting St. Louis history and civic pride. The first phase is expected to open by the end of the year.

The Marvel S. Fox Coming to the Central West End

At 2 Maryland Plaza, in the former home of Coffee Cartel, The Marvel S. Fox is preparing to open as a sports tavern and "fun house" built around classic, low-tech entertainment — think steel-tip darts, bar dice, ping pong, and plenty of TV screens.

The name comes from the great-grandmother of two of the venture's partners.
Originally targeted for a summer opening, the project has seen some delays — but signage is now up, and the space is expected to open later this year.

Update on 4216 Manchester Ave in Forest Park Southeast

Construction continues on 4216 Manchester Ave, one of two Manchester Avenue buildings owned by Alan Cheung that received Board of Adjustment approval to convert their upper floors into a combined bed-and-breakfast with guest rooms and suites, while retail remains on the ground floor. This project pairs with new construction next door at 4210 Manchester, together bringing new energy to the Grove corridor.

Together, these investments add new residents, services, and activity to one of the WUMCRC footprint's most visible commercial corridors.

The Carriage Works Nearing Completion in the Central West End

Two years ago, we shared an early look at this former carriage manufacturer at 3942–62 Laclede Avenue undergoing renovation. Today, the transformation is nearly complete: exterior work is finished, with new windows and doors installed on both buildings, and interior work is in its final stages. The space will offer new office, retail, and restaurant space, with units ranging from 1,700 to 5,100 sq ft — only a few of which remain available.

Stay tuned for updates on which tenants will call The Carriage Works home.
