Meet Matt — a bright, loving 8-year-old waiting for his forever family. Matt was born in Seoul, South Korea, and his journey has already shown just how resilient and extraordinary he is. Deaf and proudly communicating through American Sign Language, Matt connects deeply with those who take the time to understand him. He is an active, outgoing, and creative child who loves riding horses, exploring science, laughing with friends, and discovering the world around him.
Matt thrives on routine and structure and shines when surrounded by encouragement and patience. He is affectionate, eager to help with chores, and happiest when he feels safe, supported, and celebrated for who he is. While Matt continues to work hard on his developmental growth—receiving physical therapy, occupational therapy, and language services—his determination and joyful spirit are truly inspiring. Matt’s forever family will be one that embraces ASL, understands the impacts of trauma and multiple placements, and is committed to meeting his emotional, medical, and developmental needs. With the right family, Matt has unlimited potential to grow, heal, and flourish. Matt is currently part of the Renewed Hope Program and is waiting for a family who will open their hearts and home to him—one that will offer consistency, compassion, and unconditional love.
