Veteran Spotlight: When it was time to retire from Active Duty Army, Michele was ready for a role in health care. She began her nursing education journey at Goldfarb School of Nursing and worked as a student nurse technician in the medical intensive care unit (MICU) at Barnes-Jewish Hospital while earning her BSN. Continuing her journey in the MICU, Michele will be the newest student nurse graduate after her December 2026 graduation.
While in the Army, Michele traveled the world while completing seven overseas tours and deployments. She wore many hats including platoon leader, executive officer, assistant operations officer, battalion fire support officer, plans officer, senior logistics officer, fusion cell analyst, and deputy speech writer.
She also completed several military courses like Antiterrorism Officer Basic Course, Domestic Violence Intervention Training, Special Victims Unit Investigator’s Course, Property Book Unit Supply Enhanced, Transportation Coordinators’ Automated Information Movements System II, and Unit Movement Officer.
Dedicated to our country and to the communities we serve, we are honored to have Michele as a part of the BJC Health team.
