Front Yard Fridays are here! Join us in celebrating a summer of community building across Spokane.🩵 Participation is simple. Join your neighbors and local business leaders by displaying an All It Takes Is One yard sign, then step into your front yard — or a shared community “third” space if you don’t have one. Say hello as people pass by and let organic conversation happen. Front Yard Fridays are about showing up, slowing down, and building real, everyday connections right where you live. ✨ The best part? The yard signs are completely free! Pick-up your yard sign with any of our partners listed below. Let's make this a summer to remember!

Say hello to Emilo, our College Navigator at Spokane Community College! 🩵 We asked Emilio to share some highlights from his year and it is clear he has poured his heart into building community for his students. From the weekly Homework Hangout — a welcoming space where students can connect and get work done — to a 2nd Harvest volunteer event that brought the team together to give back, to a Create Your Own Tumbler Workshop where students designed their own glass tumblers and connected over food and creativity. ✨ His Kickback and Connect event rounded out a year full of meaningful moments, bringing students together through games and genuine conversation. Every experience this year has been about one thing — making students feel seen, supported, and at home. We are so grateful to have Emilio in our students' corner! 🙌

The impact of Safa's work at speaks for itself! 🩵 LaunchNW is proud to help fund the Youth Internship Program at Feast World Kitchen - a hands-on program where students spend 30 hours working right in the restaurant, building confidence and learning valuable life skills along the way. Beyond Feast, students also take part in field trips to schools and programs to explore career fields, work on resume building, and gain the tools they need for their future career endeavors. In this video, you'll hear directly from one of Safa's students about the impact the program has had on his confidence and communication skills, and from Feast regulars who share why Feast is so special. ✨ When you walk through the doors of Feast, you're not just enjoying an amazing meal, you're supporting the mission and the next generation of Spokane's leaders. That's what community looks like!

For our next community partner feature, we are highlighting the incredible work of Wilson Faust, Youth Engagement Navigator at River City Youth — one of the organizations we are proud to invest in here at LaunchNW! 🩵 Through their agricultural internship program, students aren't just learning to tend plants and keep bees — they're building confidence, improving communication skills, and finding their passion along the way. ✨ Stay tuned for more from Wilson and River City Youth in our video follow-up! 🙌

Fresh on the blog, featuring Karley Tiegs! 🩵 A rural Washington native, EWU freshman, and future teacher with a heart for making a difference! Growing up in a small town south of Spokane, Karley always dreamed of a career where she could impact lives. Through Mpower Mentoring, the LaunchNW Promise Scholarship, and the ongoing support of her EWU College Navigator Julie-Ann Pearson, she's now well on her way to graduating with a dual endorsement in Elementary and Special Education. ✨

"When I work with kids, they just warm my heart. I wanted a career that could make an impact on students and support them, especially kids who don't have the best home life."

Stories like Karley's are exactly why we do what we do. We can't wait to see her pay it forward to the next generation! 🙌 Read her full story at the link in our bio!

Spotlighting our Youth Council Secretary, Isla Hansen from Spokane International Academy! ✨ Isla draws her inspiration close to home - from the friends and family who constantly push themselves and encourage her to do the same. She also feels a deep gratitude for growing up in Spokane, and that love for her city fuels her desire to help others feel that same sense of belonging here. Outside of the council, you'll find her outdoors, reading, hanging out with friends, working toward her goals in karate, or hitting the track - she loves keeping her options open and embracing new opportunities as they come. 🙌 On the Youth Council, Isla sees something really special in this group - a wide range of passions all pointed in the same direction. Her goal is to help bridge the gap between youth and the leaders who represent them, creating real, personal connections with young people who may feel unseen or unheard. We are so excited to have her voice on the council! 🩵
