Our next Family-to-Family Course is just around the corner! There is still room! This course is for family members who have a loved one who experiences a mental health condition.
Itโ€™s designed to help you support an adult with a mental health condition while maintaining your own wellbeing, too. It meets for 2 ยฝ hours each week, and each class builds on the knowledge of previous classes.
NAMI Family-to-Family is taught by NAMI-trained family members who have been there, and includes presentations, discussions and interactive exercises. It is a designated evidenced-based program, which means that research shows that Family-to-Family significantly improves the coping and problem-solving abilities of the people closest to a person with a mental health condition.

Four weeks ago, many of us in Spokane heard the words no one wants to hear: โ€œLeave now. This may be your only notice.โ€ The Old Trails, Fairview, and Autumn Lane fires tore through our region with a speed that left thousands of neighbors under Level 3 evacuation orders, filled the Convention Center with people who had nowhere else to go, and destroyed homes that families had spent lifetimes building. The flames are out now, and the air outside your window may look almost normal. But for a lot of us, the fear, grief, and vigilance havenโ€™t gone anywhere.

Coping strategies for Spokane residents processing fear, grief, and uncertainty after the Old Trails, Fairview, and Autumn Lane wildfires.
