Step into the glamour and intrigue of the Roaring Twenties at A Secret Garden Speakeasy—an unforgettable evening at a secret location (the home of SSTCi Board Member Cherri Branson, Esq.)
This event will take place Sunday, September 13th at 4PM in Silver Spring. The address will be shared to registrants prior to the event.
Enjoy an elegant selection of Jazz-Age inspired hors d'oeuvres, decadent desserts, and handcrafted vintage cocktails. Cocktail historian, writer & mixologist Matt Keller will reveal the fascinating history, colorful characters, and hidden secrets behind the iconic cocktails. He will also show you how to make some of the favorite "forbidden" drinks of the Prohibition Era. 1920s attire strongly encouraged.

Tickets: $75 through September 9. $85 thereafter.

All proceeds benefit Silver Spring Town Center, Inc., keeping our community connected & creatively engaged.

Going-Away Party for Chef Beth Re-Scheduled for Saturday at 6PM at the Koiner Farm!

Help us send off Chef Beth with an impromptu going-away party at the Koiner Farm!

Our dear friend, SSTCi Board Member & Silver Spring's favorite Chef and small business owner Beth Yohannes, aka Chef Beth, is leaving us. She and her husband are returning to Texas to be near family. Come help us bid her farewell.

Beth has left Lemon Slice Cafe in good hands with a new owner, so you can still enjoy your favorite dishes from there.

We will gather with Beth at the Koiner Farm Saturday, August 22 6PM-8PM. So you can have a chance to see Beth once more before she leaves for Dallas. We will have a big cake and other refreshments. Feel free to bring refreshments and/or beverages to share.

Our dear friend, SSTCi Board Member & Silver Spring's favorite Chef and small business owner Bethlehem Yohannes, Chef Beth, is leaving us. She and her husband are returning to Texas to be near family. Come help us bid her farewell.

"Serving on the SSTCi board has been an absolute honor. I want to extend a special, heartfelt thank you to our Executive Director, Lisa Martin, for her tireless work in the community and her dedication to running this organization. While my next chapter takes me to a new city, the vibrant spirit of Silver Spring and the impactful work of SSTCi will always stay with me. Thank you for letting me be a part of your story.

To the incredible Silver Spring community: Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the immense support you have shown both me and my business throughout the years. We are leaving with a lifetime of beautiful memories, and I am going to deeply miss each and every one of you. There is truly no place like Silver Spring—it is a magnificent melting pot of different cultures and nationalities, and a true place of joy," says Beth.
