Through ADRA's Youth Integrated Livelihoods and WASH (YILWASH) Project, Mrs. Daka Petronella is helping students at Nabbanda Primary School do more than learn in the classroom. By leading the school's garden, she's helping provide nutritious meals while teaching valuable life skills.

"When learners are hungry, they can't concentrate. But when they eat from what we grow here, they become active and eager to learn."

A warm welcome in Ghana. 🇬🇭💚

ADRA Board Chair Audrey Anderson, Alex Balint, ADRA’s Sr. Director of Social and Corporate Partnerships, and goodone General Manager Cherie Jackson recently visited Goodone Cashews. Together they spent time with the farmers and communities at the heart of goodone's work.

goodone's model helps keep more of the value of cashews in Ghana by sourcing, processing, and packaging them locally, creating opportunities for farmers and families along the way.

During the visit, Chief Adam Tampuri welcomed Audrey and the group with traditional clothing, The Ghanaian government gifted ADRA Ghana and ADRA Ghana five metric tons of fertilizer to support institutional farming among Adventist Church members and schools.

The presentation from the Feed Ghana Program, coincided with Audrey's visit and visiting officials from North American Division of Adventist Church, including Alexander Bryant, who services as president.

Love is one of the values that guides everything we do. It means seeing every refugee as someone created in the image of God, worthy of dignity, belonging, and hope. It means walking alongside families not just in moments of crisis, but as they rebuild their lives.

When we choose love, we choose to welcome the stranger, care for the vulnerable, and remind people that they are seen and valued.

A nutritious meal can change a child's day. An empowered community can change their future.

At Gwengombe Langwani Primary School in Zimbabwe, school feeding is doing more than addressing hunger. Through sewing hubs, nutrition gardens, poultry farming, soap making, orchards, and other income-generating projects, families are building sustainable ways to keep children fed, healthy, and in school. 📚

One of ADRA's greatest strengths is our connection to the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Together, we're part of a global community rooted in local neighborhoods around the world.

When emergencies happen, we're not arriving as strangers. We're working alongside church members who already know their communities, understand their needs, and will remain long after the crisis has passed.

Through churches, schools, hospitals, and dedicated volunteers, we're able to respond quickly, build on trusted relationships, and help communities create lasting change.

No mother should have to wonder if she'll have enough food to feed her children.

At 25 years old, Oscari is raising three young children on her own in an abandoned market after losing her home. Some days, there was only enough food for one meal. When the rain came, it flooded the small space where they lived, making life even harder for her son, who suffers from pneumonia.

When ADRA delivered a food kit, everything changed. For the first time in weeks, her family could eat three meals a day. The burden she had been carrying became just a little lighter.

"It has been a miracle in my life... Thank you for that love."

This is why ADRA responds. Not just to provide food for today, but to remind families they are seen, valued, and never forgotten.
