The Sabbath has always been a special sign—a symbol of the unique relationship between God and His people. Just as it marked Israel when they came out of Egypt into Canaan, today it continues to set God’s followers apart as they leave worldly ways behind and enter into His rest. It’s a powerful reminder that you honor His law and belong to Him.

Life can move so fast that it is easy to go through the day without slowing down long enough to hear God’s voice. In Psalm 1, God reminds you that the person who delights in His Word is like a tree planted by streams of water. As you spend time with Him, you become rooted in His Word and grow in His love. Truly, time with Him is never wasted.
