Every child deserves the nourishment to grow, learn, and thrive!

On , we celebrate the families and caregivers working to build healthier futures for children in .

In 2025, the Sustainable Agriculture Project in Riimenze helped 270 caregivers complete nutrition training, while 288 children under five were screened for malnutrition and 47 received targeted nutritional support.

Nurturing children also means supporting the women and caregivers who help them flourish. It's a connection we'll continue exploring through our upcoming SheRising webinar on November 12.

The recent September newsletter from Solidarity Teacher Training College (STTC) is filled with achievements worth celebrating!

Among the highlights, 30 students completed their two-year Certificate in Primary Education, the college celebrated the rich cultural traditions of South Sudan and Sudan, and outstanding students were recognized for their commitment to teaching and community leadership.

Through the dedicated work of our partner, Solidarity with South Sudan, future educators are gaining the knowledge and skills to make a lasting difference in their communities.

Listening is an important part of healing.

On World Mental Health Day, we recognize the knowledge and experience people bring to their own healing and the decisions that affect their lives.

In South Sudan, Friends in Solidarity supports Pastoral Care and Trauma Healing programs that provide spiritual formation, trauma healing workshops and leadership development. Faith leaders, trained catechists, women and young people are helping communities work toward peace.

Pastoral care programs provide faith formation, trauma healing, and leadership training for catechists, clergy, women, and youth. To date, 3,299 catechists have completed training to support worship, reconciliation, and spiritual growth in their communities.

A reliable water system is taking shape at St. Joseph’s Nursery and Primary School in Narus.

The solar-powered upgrade includes a higher-capacity pump, additional solar panels, an underground pipeline and 20,000 liters of elevated water storage. Once completed, it will provide more dependable water for approximately 400 children, along with teachers and school staff.

On World Teachers’ Day, we honor educators across South Sudan and those preparing to serve at Solidarity Teacher Training College in Yambio. More than 800 teachers have been trained through STTC, expanding access to quality education across the country.
