Artists in Schools brings Mentor Artists into classrooms to teach a culturally diverse range of visual, music, dance, drama, and media art forms. The program champions arts integration by providing professional development workshops for teachers, school staff, and parents. VSA arts Mentor Artists teach visual, music, dance, drama, and media arts to special needs and “at risk” students in Special D

ay classrooms and mainstream programs. Youth in Arts Presents offers professional live performances in theater, music, and dance linked to state curriculum themes and reflect a diverse range of cultures, including professional performers of all abilities. Teens find their voices and develop community with ‘Til Dawn, the award-winning teen a ca****la group. `Til Dawn performs year-round at schools, businesses and community events.

This Friday is your last chance to catch Design Thinking Through Art & Architecture before it closes! Laurel Dell Elementary's 4th graders imagined their paths to college through this collaboration between Youth in Arts, UC Berkeley's Y-PLAN, and Dominican University of California.

Join us for the closing reception on Friday, September 4, 4:00–7:00pm. Meet the young artists, hear directly from them about what they built, and walk the path they imagined before it's gone.

Our Teaching Artists kicked off the year with a day of connection, reflection, and a whole lot of energy! From icebreaker games to our "Love Protocol" exercise — What do you love, observe, value, and want to see evolve in your work? — this professional development day reminded us why we do what we do. We're so grateful for this incredible team of artists and educators who bring creativity to classrooms across Marin every day.

Another fun night at the San Rafael Summer Market!🎨 Young artists dove into the theme of Living with Water, creating imaginative models inspired by the ways people and communities live alongside water. It was wonderful to see kids experimenting, building, and imaging new possibilities together.

Last Friday, we were honored to welcome the California Arts Council to San Rafael for a day celebrating the power of arts and community! From exploring creative work in our gallery to dancing in the streets, the day was a joyful reminder of how the arts bring people together.

Support from the California Arts Council for the San Rafael Arts District helps make free arts programming accessible to our community, creating opportunities for people of all ages to experience, create, and connect through the arts.

Design a mini model of a floating building inspired by the Netherlands' waterways. Add it to our group model while you enjoy 2nd Friday festivities, then take your creation home at the end of the night.

🎶 What a moment for our incredible `Til Dawn A Ca****la ensemble! ⚾

On Thursday, July 9, our talented teen vocalists had the honor of performing the National Anthem before the San Francisco Giants game at Oracle Park. Singing in front of thousands of fans was an unforgettable experience and a reflection of the dedication, passion, and hard work these young artists bring to every performance.

We're so proud of this amazing milestone and grateful for the opportunity to share their voices with the community.
