All Within My Hands Foundation is dedicated to creating sustainable communities by supporting workforce education, the fight against hunger, and critical local services. We’ve played concerts and festivals such as The Bridge School Benefit Concerts, Live Earth and Global Citizen, donated proceeds from ticket sales and album releases to various charitable organizations including Fondation de France’s Give For France and Gilda’s Club NYC, and met with many Make-A-Wish participants. Long time advocates of local food banks, we give back at every tour stop in North America and in the Fall of 2016 celebrated the release of our current album with a series of five shows, donating proceeds from all ticket sales to food banks in New York City, London, Toronto, Los Angeles and Oakland. All Within My Hands is taking things to the next level. While the band will continue to support many causes through benefit concerts (for example, the recent Band Together Concert to support Napa, Sonoma and the surrounding counties after the Northern California wildfires), AWMH is intended to have an even greater impact through a sustained and focused philanthropic commitment and hope to inspire others to join us in making the world a better place through local community support.

For our first of Manufacturing Month, let's take a visit to Columbia Gorge Community College to meet Miller, one of our studying Advanced Manufacturing & Fabrication.

Learning has always been a way of building for Miller. From crafting a song, shaping metal, or turning an idea into something tangible. This passion led him to CGCC, where he's found the perfect blend of creativity, precision, and problem-solving.

"I want to accumulate skill, knowledge, and intelligence to create something out of nothing.”

After graduation, Miller hopes to work in a fabrication shop, where every project has the opportunity to be something new and allows him to wear many hats. And thanks in part to a grant from the Metallica Scholars Initiative, Miller is well on his way to doing just that!

October is National Manufacturing Month! Our way of life is deeply intertwined with the health of the manufacturing industry. Over the next decade, 3.8 million new manufacturing workers will need to be hired in the US, which is why we are proud to fund workforce education programs across the country through our Metallica Scholars Initiative.

Throughout , we will highlight the importance of manufacturing innovation and spotlight our who are pursuing careers in advanced technologies like fabrication, mechatronics, welding, and precision machining.

Modern manufacturing provides countless opportunities to build stable careers, a strong workforce, and sustainable communities. Join us in celebrating these students and all of those who make the products that keep us safe, enrich our lives, and strengthen our nation.

In recent years, the community of Ruidoso has experienced life-impacting fires, mass evacuations, and flooding that have displaced families and taken lives. Students training in Eastern New Mexico University-Ruidoso's Fire & Rescue Academy have stepped up to fill the need for more first responders to keep their neighbors safe.

Blake is one of our who has set himself apart through his dedication, leadership, and willingness to serve, consistently going above and beyond expectations. He demonstrates an exceptional commitment to his peers, offering support and guidance both in the classroom and in the field. He even devotes time to helping fellow participants prepare for the IFSAC exam, ensuring others succeed alongside him.

This , meet Mariana, one of our training in College of Southern Nevada's Dialysis & EKG program.

“After completing the dialysis bridge course, I am now planning to move over to the credit side of CSN and pursue a surgical technology degree. The stipend will help me further invest in my education, such as purchasing a laptop to help me study from home and/or paying for online courses, or by allowing me to invest in books that may be required for my classes.”

The were on full display at the International Manufacturing Technology Show!

Alongside our friends at Upstaging, Inc. , visitors who came through the International Manufacturing Technology Show Smartforce Student Summit were able to get hands-on and learn about opportunities to get involved in bringing live entertainment to the masses!

Future makers from all over the U.S. also visited to test their truck loading skills and learn about the numerous career opportunities on tour.

Now in its fifth year as a member of the Initiative, Eastern Iowa Community College's Clinton campus is using its grant to provide scholarships for eligible students in the Engineering Technology program.

Students in the Engineering Technology program build skills in engineering, science, math, and technology management while gaining hands-on experience with industrial systems, troubleshooting, and robotics. The Engineering Technology program prepares students for careers in industrial maintenance, automation, electrical systems, and related technical fields.

This , we’re visiting College of Lake County to meet
Lorelei. As a Live Entertainment Production major, Lorelei has served as Stage Manager for CLC’s Theatre Department’s winter production, delivering a truly admirable performance under demanding conditions, showing true dedication to her craft.

Beyond the classroom, Lorelei brings an entrepreneurial spirit that sets her apart. She is an active member of a collective of skilled technicians who collaborate to produce concerts and festivals, translating her academic training directly into real-world industry experience. She is exactly the kind of student who doesn’t just learn the work; she lives it.

Lorelei has been gaining incredible hands-on experience this summer working several local Chicagoland music festivals. She was particularly excited to break in her new Wolverine boots just in time for her gig at Lollapalooza at the end of July! She will graduate in December with her certificate in Live Entertainment Production and plans to earn her certificate in welding to further expand her skill set.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of food banks. As continues, we want to spotlight one of our most consistent volunteers and thank all who generously donate their time to help bring food to people in need.

Meet Christina M., an volunteer since 2023 who has participated in 17 activations across the United States and Europe!

“I found out about the volunteer event while reading about the activities connected to Metallica’s concerts in LA in August 2023. It sounded like a great opportunity to do something meaningful for others, and since I had time before the show, I thought, ‘Why not try it?’ I continue to volunteer because it is meaningful to me. It gives me a sense of purpose and reminds me that we can all make a difference, even if we don't have a lot of time or money to give. We can all help in our own way.”
