In Animal Reiki, when you notice warmth, heat, or pulsing sensations in your palms, it does not automatically mean an animal is asking for physical touch.

In this replay, SARA Co-Founder Leah D’Ambrosio explores when physical touch may be welcome and why the Let Animals Lead® method emphasizes allowing animals to guide each session.

Using real-life photos from shelters, sanctuaries, and wildlife settings, Leah shows how dogs, cats, horses, and other animals may communicate comfort or a need for space through their body language.

The session also explores why hands-off practice can be especially important for rescue animals and how we can offer support without directing or pressuring them.

How can understanding animal chakras deepen our connection with the animals we love and serve?

On October 28 at 12:00 PM PT, we’re excited to welcome back Animal Communication expert and bestselling author Dr. Cara Gubbins for a special free session: Animal Chakras for Animal Reiki Practitioners: A Pathway to Deeper Connection & Healing ✨

Dr. Cara will introduce us to the seven major animal chakras and explore how each relates to an animal’s physical health, emotions, behavior, relationships, communication, and spiritual well-being.

We’ll explore how recognizing these patterns may help us see the whole animal more clearly, deepen our connection, and bring greater awareness and compassion to our Animal Reiki practice.

What happens when we give animals the space to lead?

In this new blog, Animal Reiki Practitioner Chrissie Rawsthorne shares an unexpected Animal Reiki experience with six pigs she encountered while visiting the Cotswolds in the UK.

Chrissie had never offered Reiki to pigs before, and she went into the experience without expectations. What happened next became a moment she says will stay with her forever.

The Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi is a beautiful opportunity to reflect on our relationship with animals.

St. Francis is remembered for his compassion and love for animals and for all living beings.

His example reminds us of the importance of treating animals with respect and compassion, and of being of service to them whenever they need us.

May we continue to honor the animals who share our lives and all that they teach us about compassion, connection, and love. ❤️

Happy National Raccoon Day! 🦝

Today we’re honoring two special raccoons who are no longer with us but whose spirits have stayed in our hearts - Rocky (a smart little thief!) and Louise (a retired actress - she was even in a video with Miley Cyrus back in the day!). Both were residents at the amazing The CARE Foundation, a sanctuary in Florida, providing permanent care for non-releasable exotic and wild animals. C.A.R.E. currently cares for more than 200 animals, providing them with food, medical care, enrichment, and a safe place to call home.
