Access to arts education shouldn’t depend on a student’s ZIP code. Real change often starts locally—when families, educators, and community members organize around a shared belief that creativity belongs in schools. Arts Now groups support that kind of work, helping communities advocate for arts education where they live.

Congratulations to Laura Jiménez Diecks of ARTe+ViDA Studio, a recipient of a 2026 Marin Cultural Association Arts Grant!

Building on her artwork exploring immigrant identity and belonging, Laura will use MCA Arts Grant funding to support a new body of work celebrating resilience, hope, and community.

Ready to gain experience while making a difference in the arts? There’s still time to apply for the Marin Cultural Association’s Fall 2026 Internship Program.

Work alongside MCA leadership on meaningful projects supporting arts education, cultural programming, and nonprofit initiatives throughout Marin County.

Fall internship opportunities include:
• Arts Education Intern
• Grants & Development Intern

These three-month, unpaid internships require up to 10 hours per week, with flexible remote and hybrid options available for students currently enrolled in accredited colleges and universities.

Step into Bolinas in the 1970s, when poetry, politics, art, ecology and community converged in one unforgettable coastal town.

“All This Every Day: Bolinas Community Publishing in the Seventies” explores the publications that captured the spirit of this uniquely creative and radical community, from poetry magazines and handmade posters to newsletters, pamphlets, and even a handwritten phone book.

Curated by Noelle Hiam and Kirston Lightowler, the exhibition offers a fascinating look at the ideas, people, and everyday energy that helped shape Bolinas and continue to influence the community today.

On view August 22–September 26, 2026, at the Bolinas Museum.

Experience the power of light through art tomorrow at the Bartolini Gallery!

Formative Influence explores how light transforms the way we see and feel the world. Featuring five bodies of work inspired by the landscapes of Northern California and the American West, the exhibition moves from photography, where light is captured, to painting, where light is created to evoke atmosphere, memory, and emotion.

Join us at the Bartolini Gallery in the Marin Center, August 19 through November 10, and discover works that invite reflection beyond the landscape itself.
