On Friday, Feb. 27, our colleague and partner Senator Dave Cortese is hosting the Unhoused Health Fair at Santa Clara County's Valley Health Center. This event offers free health screenings, resources, food and more, all at no cost, no hassle -- just focused on YOUR care.

Many thanks to all of the amazing partners who came together for this event, including Supervisor Betty Duong, Health Foundation, Charities USA of Santa Clara County, and Health Services Recovery Cafe.

Yet another great professional development where CEMA members heard from Michael Abdy on learning what your "why" is and how to visualize your goals and aspirations using images, quotes, and affirmations that inspire and motivate you. By learning everyone's unique and shared vision for themselves in the roles that they play we are all able to uplift and lead with our "why".

CEMA had a smokin' good time with our union siblings at this year's OE3 District 90 Picnic. Food and drinks were endless, kids activities were plenty, and the raffle prizes were captivating (who wants a Traeger?).

We need inspirational and transformative leadership, and we know they'll make county services better and more accessible for everyone in Santa Clara County.

We had a joyous celebration of our 50th anniversary with our members and our advocates! We deeply the appreciate the recognition of our 50 years of collaboration, expertise, and member advocacy, with many more years to come!

Our speakers did a stellar job in explaining the benefits of longevity pay, from retaining highly qualified staff to preserving valuable institutional knowledge within the County. Each speaker shared how proud they were to be a County employee and that with all of our CEMA members’ hard work, longevity pay will be a feature in continuing to deliver great County services to the public.
