The MEF chapter of AFSCME Local 101 is a Union made up of diverse group of people representing 3,300 city employees providing vital services in San Jose.

STRIKE VOTE INFORMATION!! We are fighting for a fair and equitable living wage that will keep up with inflation!

Reminder of some of the non economic proposals we have brought to the city that they have not even had the decency to counter:
- Fair inclusion of the newest MEF members from the 18th floor.
- Fatigue Time/ Overtime Equity for our MEF members frequently held over and called in for public safety emergencies.
- AI Guardrails!

The city has also not worked with us on the return of our non-pensionable pay. CONTRACT WINS DON'T HAPPEN BY ACCIDENT! THEY HAPPEN BECAUSE WORKERS SHOW UP!

Update from Mediation 7/21! We had a lot of great discussions today, and already have another mediation day set on THURSDAY 7/23! Will keep everyone posted as information is available. Make sure to stay engaged and make sure the City knows how united we are in our fight for a fair and equitable contract for our members!! Wear your union shirts and Union Strikes Back Buttons on Thursday, join our on site Union Meetings going on, and join our Strike Captains/ Member Action Team Meetings via zoom every Thursday at 6:30pm!!
