San José city workers showed up strong at City Hall today. Hundreds rallied and delivered a petition signed by more than 1,400 workers demanding the City invest in the public services our communities rely on, ensure AI is implemented responsibly and ethically, and respect the workers who keep this city running every day.

We’re united in the fight for the services San José residents deserve and we’re not backing down. We’re fighting for a PEOPLE-POWERED SAN JOSÉ! 💚💙✊

Happy May Day! We’re proud to share that after 8 months of organizing, the City of San José has recognized the petition from city council staff to form a unit with AFSCME-MEF Local 101. These workers have long gone without representation and we’re excited to have them join our union. ✊

ENDORSEMENT ALERT 🚨 AFSCME Local 101 is proud to endorse HG Nguyen for San Jose District 7

HG is a city worker and a labor endorsed candidate who understands our jobs, the services we provide to San José, and what it takes to support working families. This is a real opportunity to flip this seat to someone who will stand with the working people of the South Bay. Vote for HG!!

Every worker, deserves to go home after work. Workers’ Memorial Day is a reminder that every safety rule, every protection, and every right on the job was fought for, often after tragedy. We remember those we’ve lost and recommit to the fight for safe workplaces for everyone.

taking credit for everyone else’s work is so on brand. There’s no shame in Little Matt’s desperate attempt to climb the political ladder. California and San José deserve so much better than a politics as usual, hubris driven sycophant .mahan

San José—and California—deserves leadership that finishes the job. Instead, we’ve seen a pattern of moving on to the next opportunity before delivering real results. Now is using a moment, like serious sexual assault allegations against an opponent, to advance a campaign. Which reinforces the concern: this is about climbing the political ladder, not doing the work. Matt won’t break the 5% barrier, but it won’t stop him from advancing his own interest and those of his billionaire palls for his next run in 2028 or beyond.
