San Jose Walls

San Jose Walls San Jose Walls is an annual public art festival powered by Empire Seven Studios. San Jose Walls (formally POW! WOW!

San Jose), established in 2017, is Northern California’s regional branch of the Worldwide Walls network of festivals happening in over 20 cities around the world. Led locally by the Empire Seven Studios collective —a contemporary urban art gallery and cultural institution in Japantown, San Jose, California. Over the past four years San Jose Walls has grown into the Bay Area’s premiere art festival

with a line up and experience that rivals some of the best in the world. Much more than a multi-day festival, San Jose Walls is an amenity with substantial economic and community impact. It is also a vehicle to celebrate San Jose’s past, present, and future creative culture. To date, San Jose Walls has produced over 70 murals and visual art installations throughout the City with a focus on underserved and neighborhoods. Our goal is to strengthen community ties by bringing local and worldwide contemporary art to San Jose to highlight the diversity our City has to offer.

A Very Special Thank You to Our Sponsors and Partners 🙏

This year, finding support wasn’t easy. In times when budgets are tight and priorities shift, we know how much of a leap it can be to invest in the arts. That’s why we’re especially grateful to the incredible sponsors and partners who stood by us and believed in what San Jose Walls brings to our community. 💛

Your support didn’t just help fund a festival — it helped sustain creativity, connection, and hope. We appreciate you!

Finished mural by .art for 2025 . This piece represents Kensuke’s family and it was so mesmerizing watching him paint. With effortless wrist movements, he brought out details in all elements of his piece from the tiny ribbon holding strapping the hat to the crow’s head to the fur and feathers on the animals. Just when we thought the painting was done, he’d add just a bit more.

Thank you, .art for sharing your talents with our city and space.
