Our sister Dana Vy Truong is participating in Alpha Omicron Pi - SJSU philanthropy this year to raise money toward Arthritis. Here is what Dana has to say:
"I want to run for this philanthropy on behalf of all my sisters affected by Rheumatoid Arthritis, including myself. Being in college dealing with chronic symptoms of an autoimmune disease, I have always shared to my sisters, friends, and family about the impacts of Lupus and Arthritis. With the amazing friendships I’ve built with the AOII girls throughout my time in college, there’s no other house or philanthropy I’d rather pour my heart into.
As sentimental as the Arthritis Foundation means to me, I am beyond excited for this week and grateful to be part of a community coming together to raise awareness and make a difference!🎗️🩵 "

This week, our sister Jessica will be representing the ladies of Alpha Phi in Pi Kappa Alpha Fireman’s Challenge. Our sisters will be teaming up with the gentlemen of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity to support the San Jose Firefighters Burn Foundation who are dedicated to burn survivors through programs including Burn Survivor Re-entry Programs, Burn Camps for children, Adult Burn Survivors Support Group, Adult Burn Survivors Retreat, Financial Support for Burn Families, and Parents Helping Parents "Kids on the Block” educational programs.
Jessica says, “I am honored to be able to support another community affected by fires. This week, my sisters and I will make a difference.” ❤️💛

We are SO excited to support our sister Carinna this week in Sigma Chi's Derby Days! Carinna has been working hard to give back. She is working to raise money for the Children's Miracle Network and the Huntsman Cancer Institute. She has also put together fun baskets filled with goodies and cards made by her and the sisters of Alpha Phi and delivered them to children at the UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital in Oakland. She says, "I'm excited to be helping out the brothers of Sigma Chi, I want to help make a difference." We love you Carinna!
