Last fall, VPG joined the Yes on Measure A Campaign coalition. Despite initial concerns that the campaign lacked sufficient time to succeed, our Santa Clara County residents showed overwhelming support on election night. This victory exemplifies the power of local collective action and our shared belief that everyone deserves access to high-quality healthcare.

Today, the Yes on Measure A Campaign was honored with the Community Coalition Award. VPG is incredibly proud to work in a county that consistently values healthcare for all.

What an incredible gathering! Last night VPG and .spartanmd came together for our kickoff meet and greet! Our docs were blown away by the turnout of premed students and we left feeling motivated. Can't wait for our next event! P’alante!

We have the most incredible patients (and staff)! Here at the VHC Lundy tuberculosis, refugee and asylum clinic our amazing infectious disease doctors, Dr. Mony and Dr. Sahni, along with their awesome nursing staff are spreading holiday cheer. In Dr. Mony’s words “My patient is an absolute rockstar who can swallow countless pills and even produce their own sputum as a TODDLER!”

SO INCREDIBLY PROUD! In 2021, our hospital launched a FIRST-in-the-nation program that caters to teens and young adults under the age of 21 who are struggling with opioid addiction. Shout out to the incredible and innovative pediatric hospitalist and director of the youth inpatient program, Dr. Lee Trope and the compassionate medical site director for Valley Homeless Healthcare Program, Dr. Annie Chang!!! Special shoutout to our fearless patient, DeAnna for sharing her inspiring journey!

Today, our very own VPG chair, Dr. Rachel Ruiz joined Senator Alex Padilla’s virtual press conference to sound the alarm on our current health care crisis. As it stands, the Affordable Care Act (ACA) tax credits are set to expire at the end of the year, jeopardizing care for over 1.7 million Californians who rely on these essential subsidies. Thanks for your advocacy and leadership!

Thank you for supporting our community and patients through all of the the ups and downs.

Even though SNAP benefits have been restored and the government shutdown has ended, more than 150,000 families are still facing significant food insecurity in our area.

SNAP on its best days falls short of our area’s high cost of living and is facing the steepest cuts in its history. Hoping this donation will help inspire others to do the same.
