‼ ANOTHER VICTORY IN PROTECTING OUR PENSIONS IN KERN COUNTY! 🎊

We organized, we voted in LARGE numbers, and successfully elected our union sister Jeanine Adams as a Trustee on the Kern County Employees Retirement Association board!

Working families in Kern County can have peace of mind that their pension plans will be protected by our labor champions on the board. When we vote, WE WIN!

A big win for thousands of union Kern County workers. Starting Tuesday all union employees will receive a wage increase and additional permanent benefits.

BREAKING‼️County of Kern, California ratifies three-year contract providing 5,000 workers a long-over due equity adjustment in income.

This is a start and a first step in addressing the retention crisis that prevents our community from receiving quality, timely services.

The Kern County Board of Supervisors concluded a long and bruising negotiation process with its largest union Tuesday.

✅ Tentative Agreement Ratified in Kern County ✅

Following more than two years of negotiations, multiple rejections and revisions of Kern County’s Last, Best, and Final offers, and a historic strike authorization, Kern County members voted by majority to ratify our contract and avert a work stoppage.
