Meemli, a nonprofit, uses a safe, interactive online space to bring great learning experiences to all students. Get in touch, we'd love to hear from you!

Meemli provides a variety of offerings on its shared online learning space for middle and high school students. Meemli has options for schools and nonprofits, as well as for students and parents to access directly. Our mission is to bring high quality learning experiences to all students regardless of where they live or go to school.

📚 A question that started with a book and turned into a lesson none of us expected.
In Meemli's Book Club, each student is paired one-on-one with a mentor who reads the same book and discusses it together in a moderated online setting. This summer, one student is reading Hatchet, Gary Paulsen's classic about 13-year-old Brian, stranded alone in the wilderness after a plane crash.

During a recent session, the mentor paused and wondered aloud: "Isn't it strange that Brian didn't call someone for help?"

It is the kind of question that, reading alone, you might let go and turn the page. But with a mentor alongside you, it becomes something else entirely. The student went back to the first page of the book and found the answer themselves: the book was published in 1987, before cell phones were part of everyday life. Brian could not call because that option simply did not exist yet.

The mentor asked the question and made space for the student to do the work.

That is exactly why we run Book Club the way we do. Reading and discussing together takes critical thinking further than reading alone ever could. And that skill transfers far beyond any book.

From July 6 to 30, Monday through Thursday, 9 AM to 5 PM PT, students choose from Math Workshops, Reading & Writing, Hands-On Science, Intro to Computing + AI, Book Club, and Arts & Crafts, and join from home.

Mead was a trail-blazing anthropologist, and her words from nearly 100 years ago are particularly relevant, and indeed critical, today in the age of AI.

Meemli is working hard to help children THINK with every learning experience we provide.

🔬✨ STEM Saturdays at Seven Trees

We’re proud to share a snapshot of our ongoing STEM partnership with Seven Trees Library in San José.

Since October, students in grades K–2 have explored hands-on topics including electricity and circuits, light refraction, sound, air pressure, gravity, density, and even chemical reactions.

So far, the results have been incredibly encouraging:

☑️100% of end-of-session responses show students understand the STEM concepts introduced
☑️Families report children continuing experiments and discussions at home
☑️Students are growing more confident engaging with online instruction and sharing their work

One parent shared: “My children absolutely love this program… They always have fun completing the kits and continue playing with them at home.”

We’re grateful to the San José Public Library Foundation, Seven Trees Library staff, volunteers, and families for helping make STEM accessible, engaging, and joyful for the young children.

National results show that many students are struggling with reading, but at Meemli we’re helping change that.

✨ Our popular summer Reading With Friends book club is now available during the school year too! Giving students the chance to build confidence and strengthen comprehension while discussing books they choose, supported by caring teachers and mentors.
