Interested in helping make the 2026 US Rafting Nationals epic? There are many exciting opportunities to volunteer!

Opportunities include: becoming a USRA certified judge, maintaining the racing course, ensuring river safety as a safety boater, facilitating check-in, shuttles, and registration, tracking race timing, helping with riverbank safety and medical support, and helping present our 2026 Nationals awards!

This event depends on the incredible work of amazing volunteers who share a love for whitewater raft racing and supporting the rafting community!

Mark your calendars ‼️ We are excited to announce that the USRA will be hosting the 2026 US Whitewater Rafting National Championships on the South Fork of the American River, California, August 13th-16th 🌊. This event designates teams eligible to represent the US in international competition. Thank you to all those helping to put this event together and a special thanks to our partners and sponsors!

USA teams just arrived home from an incredible Junior World Championship performance in Pau, France 🇫🇷! The California Poppies and the Redwood Rafters showed up and showed out in the first international event under the newly formed United Rafting’s new structure, formats, and rules!

World rafting news: the URF is officially formed and the USRA has had the honor of participating as a founding member!! While USA teams were killing it on the water, the first United Rafting congress was held and Aaron Tippett, our USRA VP, and Alba Luz Salazar were elected together to represent the Americas 👏👏!

This past December five US teams traveled to the 2025 IRF World Rafting Championships on the Kampar River in Malaysia!! The Troublemakers, The California Poppies, The Furies, and the Outsiders Men and Women represented the United States and performed incredibly. Special shout out to the California Poppies who placed 3rd overall and earned the gold medal in the Sprint and H2H events! The Troublemakers' Youth Men's team also earned the bronze in the Slalom! Big congratulations to all of these teams!

Throwback to the Riff Raft Racing and Sweets of the East teams' incredible showing at the 2025 Senior World Rafting Championships in November! Riff Raft killed it representing the United States in the Women's, Men's, and Mixed categories, and the Sweets of the East showed up strong representing the United States in the Women's category! Congratulations to these teams for their amazing performance in the beautiful Aluminé, Argentina!

The USRA is soliciting bids for the 2026 National Championships. This event will rank US Teams for eligibility to compete in the 2027 International Rafting Events.
