And your 2026 Service Industry Olympic Champions are... Currents 🏆🍾

The Currents crew showed up to the first annual Synergy Service Industry Olympics at , competed their way through the chaos, and left with the traveling trophy, bragging rights for the next year, and 4 box seats to a Colorado Avalanche game.

Not a bad Tuesday night.

Huge thanks to everyone who helped turn this fun idea into an actual night for Chaffee County’s service-industry community:

The Tumbleweed for giving the games a home

Xcel Energy and HHSB Family Fund for their support

SOL Catering

A.F.N.A. Drinks by Rock Bottom

The Buena Viking

The BV Boyz for bringing the music

AND EVERYONE who competed, volunteered, cheered, donated, and helped make the first one happen. 💛

And an extra shoutout to Currents Steakhouse for sharing these photos with us, because apparently winning the Olympics wasn’t enough. They also came through with the photo recap. 📸

Congrats, champs.

Enjoy the trophy. Enjoy the Avs. And enjoy having the phrase “defending Service Industry Olympic Champions” available to you for the next 12 months.

Just casually scrolling through your potential future. 👀

One minute you’re arguing over who forgot to restock the walk-in.

Next thing you know, your crew is at Ball Arena, chasing a powder day, or bringing the Service Industry Olympics trophy back to your restaurant like you just won the Stanley Cup.

Synergy’s first Service Industry Olympics go down Tuesday, October 13 at The Tumbleweed in Buena Vista.

Grab four coworkers, register your team for $100, and come compete for some seriously good prizes🏆 Games start at 4 PM.

Chaffee County restaurants, we have a question.

How confident are you in your coworkers when there’s a trophy, Avalanche box seats, and public bragging rights on the line? 👀🏆

On Tuesday, October 13, Synergy is taking over The Tumbleweed in Buena Vista for the first annual Service Industry Olympics.

Four-person teams will go head-to-head in restaurant-inspired challenges starting at 4 PM. The winning crew earns the traveling championship trophy for their restaurant, plus 4 box seats to a Colorado Avalanche game.

Then the competition turns into a party.

🍔 Food from
🎸 Music from The BV Boyz + DJ
🍹 Drinks and mocktails from A.F.N.A. Drinks by Rock Bottom
🍺 Donation-based bar benefiting Synergy

Team registration is $100 for four competitors and includes food plus a drink ticket for each team member. Not competing? Come heckle responsibly. Friends, family, coworkers, and regulars are all invited.

And a huge thank you to Xcel Energy, HHSB Family Fund, SOL Catering, A.F.N.A. Drinks by Rock Bottom, The Buena Viking, and The Tumbleweed for helping us turn a very questionable idea into a very real event. 😅

Now the only question is...

Which restaurant is taking that trophy home?

Nothing has to be on fire 🔥

A bad month works, so does a good month where something still feels a little off, or a busy one where there has been nowhere to put any of it down.

Plot twist for Chaffee County’s cannabis industry:

That Synergy stuff you’ve been seeing? It’s for you now too. 👋🌱

If you work in cultivation, a grow house, a lab, dispensary management, retail, or anywhere else in the local cannabis industry, you can now access six no-cost therapy sessions through Synergy, plus help from a Behavioral Health Navigator to find a local provider who feels like the right fit.

You can be handling it and still be tired of handling it. 😮‍💨

Showing up, getting through the shift, answering the texts…doing everything that needs to get done.

None of that tells us how loud things are in your head. 🧠

A review of 65 studies found that cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), a common type of therapy that helps people work through unhelpful thoughts and patterns, can significantly reduce symptoms of ongoing anxiety.

Coffee already does a lot for the service industry.

Mountain Phoenix Coffee Shop and Roastery decided to do a little more. ☕🧡

A huge thank you to Mountain Phoenix Coffee Roasters for their generous donation to Synergy and for continuing to invest in the community they call home.

Mountain Phoenix has been roasting coffee right here in Salida since 2005, at a very Colorado 7,083 feet, with a focus on great coffee, thoughtful sourcing, and giving back to the place around them.

That last part means a lot to us.

Their support helps Synergy continue making mental health care more accessible for the people working behind Chaffee County’s bars, kitchens, coffee counters, restaurants, and now cannabis businesses too.

Local businesses supporting local workers is how stronger communities get built.

So next time you need a cup, show some love to the people who are showing some love right back. 🌿
