As we start up the new 2026-27 season of Elks Hoop Shoot, we would like to look at last year's Colorado Elks State Hoop Shoot Finals and the Colorado Elks State Hoop Shoot Champions. We commemorate their accomplishments each year with a photobook from the past year. So, last year's six Colorado Elks State Hoop Shoot Champions, look for these in the mail the next few days! Also, this should give all the competitors a little incentive to become this year's Colorado Elks State Hoop Shoot Champions and the opportunity to compete in Chicago at the Elks National Hoop Shoot Finals! Good luck to all, and show us your GRIT in this year's competitions.

Before Seimone Augustus became an eight-time WNBA all-star, four-time WNBA champion, three-time Olympic gold medalist, and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer, she competed in the Elks Hoop Shoot! Augustus advanced all the way to the National Finals three times and was inducted into the Elks Hoop Shoot Hall of Fame in 2022.

Through the Elks Hoop Shoot, kids unleash their grit, learn the importance of hard work, and have plenty of fun along the way.

Great job to all Colorado Elks Hoop Shoot Lodge Directors! This marks the 9th consecutive year(excluding COVID year) that Colorado Elks Hoop Shoot has posted 100% Lodge contest reporting through the "dashboard" to Elks National Foundation. As you may know, this is how ENF is able to gauge participation by the numbers provided. We were very surprised to receive this plaque in the mail today and want to make sure that we thank all the Lodges and Hoop Shoot Directors for keeping Colorado one of the best in the nation!!!

Congratulations to former Elks Hoop Shoot National Finalist Ebuka Okorie for becoming a first-round pick!

Last night, Okorie was selected 17th overall in the NBA Draft. But before his name was in lights, he stepped up to the line in the Elks Hoop Shoot. Okorie, sponsored by Dover, N.H., Lodge No. 184, advanced all the way to the National Finals in 2018, where he finished third after a shoot-off that lasted 30 extra free throws.

Since then, Okorie has only continued to unleash his grit. After being named New Hampshire’s Gatorade Player of the Year in high school, Okorie attended Stanford University, where he earned First-Team All-ACC honors, finished seventh nationally in scoring, and shot 83% from the free throw line. Now he'll play for the Detroit Pistons!

What an amazing weekend in Chicago last week at the Elks Hoop Shoot National Finals. The top 72 competitors, 12 in each division, were on hand to compete for the title of Elks Hoop Shoot National Champion. Colorado was well represented by Paisley Gould of Tri-City Elks Lodge #2541 in the 8-9 yr old girls division and Kate Howe of La Junta Lodge #701 in the 12-13 yr old girls division. Paisley made 21 of 25 shots to finish 5th in the nation, while Kate connected on 21 of 25 shots as well to finish 4th in the nation! Colorado truly was proud of these girls accomplishments.

Full of stats and fun facts about all 72 National Finalists, as well as the grand reveal of Saturday’s shooting order, Monday Madness is a must watch for all Elks Hoop Shoot fans!
