Calling all Chaffee County creatives. The Chaffee County Economic Recovery Team is partnering with local event organizations to form Chaffee for Chaffee. Chaffee for Chaffee is a series of events created to fund relief for full-time Chaffee County creatives. We understand that creatives are not only at the center of what makes Chaffee County so unique but are also very worried about their livelihoods during this unprecedented time.

In our first effort to garner support, we are hosting a virtual relief concert on May 22 at 6:00 PM. We are asking for pre-recorded submissions from all creatives within our county to be featured in Chaffee for Chaffee. Musicians are asked to submit a 3-10 minute pre-recorded set with social media and website links, artists are asked to submit a 3-5 minute demonstration with social media and website links. Submissions must be in by May 11 at 12:00 PM. Please email your submissions and questions to [email protected] in Salida and [email protected] in BV.

Mural painting at Boys & Girls Clubs of Chaffee County. Students have been working on a summer mural with Salida Creativity Lab. It will be on display at the Masonic Lodge during Art Walk June 28-30. The Masons will also be serving hot dogs and hamburgers throughout the weekend with proceeds to benefit the Articipate scholarship fund. Stop by to support student artists!
