Border CrosSing’s Education Outreach ensemble was in residency with the Schubert Club from September 30th to October 3rd. Led by Education and Community Engagement Director Natalia Romero Arbeláez , the “Ed Crew” performed at Saint Anthony Park Elementary, Saint Anthony Park Home, Saint Paul Music Academy, and Frost Lake Elementary in addition to three KidsJam events and a Courtroom Concert at the Landmark Center. ¡Están invitados! 📣 Join us for the first concert of our 26-27 season!

Celebrating the richness and diversity of the Latin American diaspora, 𝐖𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐞 brings together contemporary choral works that speak to identity, belonging, and shared humanity. At its center is 𝘞𝘦 𝘈𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘢 𝘛𝘳𝘪𝘣𝘦, a setting of a wonderful poem by Alberto Rios that we commissioned from Colombian composer Nico Gutierrez. This is presented alongside music by composers of Latin American heritage from across the Americas and beyond. Through varied voices and musical traditions, the program offers a powerful meditation on connection, memory, and the communities we create across borders and generations.

•Friday, 30 October, 7pm at Unity Church-Unitarian, St. Paul, and
•Sunday, 1 November, 4pm at Church of the Ascension, Minneapolis.

We are thrilled to announce that Heritage Choir, our bilingual community choir, has been selected as an Insight Choir at the American Choral Directors Association's 2027 National Conference in Minneapolis in March.

Under the direction of Natalia Romero Arbeláez , Heritage Choir will represent Border CrosSing on one of the biggest stages in choral music — a recognition that celebrates our mission of crossing borders through choral music and the power of communal singing.

For their conference performance, Heritage Choir will bring back "La Vida Es Un Carnaval" Community Sing on Monday, March 8th. ¡Wepa!

One week left to apply! Border CrosSing is currently accepting applications from all voice parts for our roster of professional singers and teaching artists.

We are based in Minneapolis–St. Paul, Minnesota and we will consider candidates located elsewhere. We are not able to cover transportation for out-of-town singers at this time, but we can organize lodging and meals. Our musician rates for this season are $37.00/hr of rehearsal and $47.50/hr of performance/recording.
