St. Paul Rotary

St. Paul Rotary Mission: Saint Paul Rotary strengthens our entire community and connects with the world through service, friendship and fun.

Vision: We see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change in St Paul, across the globe and in ourselves. The Rotary Year 2009-2010 marked the 100th anniversary of the Rotary Club of Saint Paul. Founded on February 19, 1910, it became the 10th club of what is known today as Rotary International. In over a century of service, its efforts have ranged from the drive to build S

t. Paul's Union Station to the improvement of drinking water, health and schools in a remote village in Guyana. What started as a gathering of 17 business leaders in 1910, has grown into a club of about 200 members in 2010. The club belongs to Rotary District 5960 which covers parts of Minnesota and Wisconsin.

At a recent Rotary 5:01 meeting, we welcomed Anthony Dann, founder of Biometrica Health.

Anthony shared how the company recently entered the local market with a remote patient monitoring platform designed to help doctors track their patients’ health more effectively. Unlike many monitoring systems, Biometrica Health’s platform is device-agnostic, allowing it to work with a variety of devices instead of being tied to one specific manufacturer.

The company is now looking to expand its reach and help more healthcare providers better connect with and care for their patients.

Thank you, Anthony, for sharing Biometrica Health’s story and vision with us!

We had a power lunch today at Rotary! University of St. Thomas President Robert Vischer delivered his views on how UST is competing in the higher ed marketplace - developing students with strong values and playing sports at high levels that get on national TV both help. AND our club was especially proud to introduce our 2026 Centennial Scholarship winner, Kelin Fuentes. She earned a $20,000 scholarship for college from our St. Paul Rotary Foundation. She's a graduate of LEAP High School, Saint Paul Public Schools SPPS, and she will attend University of St. Thomas to study international business. Congratulations, Kelin!! We are cheering for you!

Has the news of security break-ins to Minnesota community water systems rattled you? Let's talk about it. Come to "Rotary Book Club: Reading for a Change" next Wednesday, August 12 at 7 pm, at Camp Bar. 490 Robert St. North, downtown Saint Paul. Light snacks provided. BYOB.

Our book selection: • What the Eyes Don't See by Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha: Summary: This highly narrative, fast-paced book reads exactly like a medical thriller but tells the true story of the scientist-activist who bucked the government to expose lead in Flint, Michigan's water. It’s available at the Saint Paul Public Library. I also saw that Half Price Books had a few copies.

Invite family, friends, colleagues, neighbors. You don't have to be a Rotarian to join Reading for a Change. Rotary is the host and open to all! We are a super-friendly group :) Join us!

Jamie Rand (second from left) from the Downtown Revival Trust delivered the featured presentation at our 5:01 Rotary Club meeting on Tuesday at the Lilydale Pool & Yacht Club.

"Why I Am Investing in Downtown St. Paul and Why I Believe Its Best Days Are Still Ahead?"

The answers: He doesn't back away from opportunities or challenges facing our downtown. He also sees the importance of preserving and reactivating iconic buildings, like the Great Northern and First National, and he's actively engaging with private investors, civic leaders, and the business community to see what we can do together to help restore downtown’s vitality. And Jamie also said, "Everyone he meets is so nice!"

Thank you for your presentation -- we had a packed room with people who care about Saint Paul's revival.

City of Saint Paul - Government Visit Saint Paul Saint Paul Downtown Alliance

“The return of Independence Day fireworks was more than a successful event. It was proof that St. Paul still has a deep well of civic pride, optimism and willingness to invest in something remarkable,” Collins writes.
