Don’t miss your chance to learn improv comedy with local experts from the Coalition Theater, in partnership with SPARC!

Students will have a chance to practice making up characters on the spot and “following their feet” as they build confidence as performers. Then, they’ll take to the stage on the final day of camp for a presentation of their new improv skills to friends and family!

Registration for this NEW camp closes on June 17!

Happy Friday! SPARC is excited to announce our fall production, “Once Upon a One More Time: High School Edition,” directed by Senior Faculty member Paul S. Major.

Auditions will be announced soon! They will take place at SPARC in early August and will be open to rising 8th-12th graders, with select roles available to rising 4th and 5th graders.

Powered by the chart-topping hits of the undisputed Princess of Pop (Britney Spears), “Once Upon a One More Time” turns our favorite fairytales upside down with a clever twist! When a fairy godmother goes rogue and plops copies of “The Feminine Mystique” in the laps of classic heroines, the damsels embark on a quest to rewrite their stories and redefine “happily ever after.”

Join us for the show this November 6-15 and stay tuned this summer for a full 2026-2027 season announcement.

Video Description: A colorful background with blue letters with white outline stating, “COMING THIS FALL DIRECTED BY PAUL S. MAJOR” followed by a dissolve to reveal the logo for ‘Once Upon a One More Time’ with the words “Stay tuned for details beneath.”

Thanks to the incredible generosity of this community, Spotlight on SPARC raised more than $140,000 in support of scholarships for youth arts education.

Thank you to our sponsors, to everyone who joined us that evening, participated in the auction, donated items to the auction, and made contributions to support 45 years of SPARC's work!

Special thanks to our youth and faculty performers and, of course, our host, Emma Orelove. Here are just a few of the beautiful moments captured throughout the night.

If you couldn't join us this year, we hope to see you next spring!
